2010 Jaguar XFR Review - Serious Speed

Jaguar's new XF is a stunning luxury sedan - inside and out. But the addition of a few well-placed "R" badges means this version of the XF offers not just stunning looks but breath taking performance as well.

20-inch wheels wrapped with Dunlop performance tires hint at what's under the hood. A supercharged, 5.0 liter V8 making a neck snapping 510 hp backs up the car's sneering look. Jab the acclerator from a stop and the rear tires slip just a little as the traction and stability control systems kick in - they're not obtrusive or limiting but offer just enough control to make the car fun. You can turn these systems off but trust me, you're not that good a driver. Nail the gas with the traction control off and you're likely to land in a ditch nose down. Handling is stellar and sharp yet the ride never feels overly harsh.

The interior looks and feels the part of a true luxury sedan with lots of exposed stitching and soft leather - the Bowers and Wilkins sound system means real luxury too. The rear seat is even roomy enough for adults to travel in comfort.

At $80,000 the 2010 Jaguar XFR isn't cheap but it comes with tons of features like Bluetooth, Navigation, rear parking camera and front seats that are both heated and cooled. By comparison a BMW M5 is about $5,000 more but doesn't feels as refined and is more of a hassle to use everyday.
